A section of the A34 in Oxfordshire is to be resurfaced at a cost of £2m.

Stretches of a 6.5 mile (10.4 km) section of the road around Oxford between the Peartree and Kennington interchanges will be upgraded.

The Highways Agency said all the work would take place overnight to minimise disruption, typically between 21:00 and 05:30.

It is weather-dependent but will start on 1 October and is expected to be completed by the end of December.
