Abingdon brothel investigation: Man arrested

A 65-year-old man has been arrested in Oxfordshire on suspicion of running a brothel.

Police carried out two warrants, one in Turner Road, Abingdon, and another in Doyley Road, Wallingford.

Det Con Jon Shaw, from Thames Valley Police, said the man had been arrested at the Abingdon address and bailed until 18 September.

He added that the warrants had followed information supplied from the community.

"I hope that this activity will help to reassure the residents that we will investigate all the information that we receive and we are grateful for their help in this matter," he said.
