Oxford Half Marathon attracts 2,000 runners


Two thousand runners have taken part in Oxford's first half marathon in two decades.

The 13.1-mile (21.1km) race through the city started and finished at the Kassam Stadium, home of Oxford Utd Football Club.

First across the finish line was James Bellward from Chichester, West Sussex in just over one hour 11 minutes and three seconds.

Two-time Olympian Liz Yelling from Poole, Dorset, was the first female to finish.

Yelling, 37, completed the course in a time of one hour 14 minutes and 40 seconds.
