Outraged Christ by Charles Lutyens needs new home

Help

A crucifix that has taken its 78-year-old artist, Charles Lutyens, 35 years to complete has finally left its Oxfordshire home.

The Outraged Christ was made by carving reclaimed soft and hard wood beams and planks stuck together with glue.

It has been taken from the studio in Charlton-on-Otmoor to be exhibited at St. Paul's Church, Bow Common, London until 23rd July. After that the carving's future is uncertain.
