Pedestrian couple seriously injured in Nottingham hit-and-run

A couple are in hospital in Nottingham with serious injuries after a hit-and-run, police have said.

A 64-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman were walking along Daleside Road in Colwick at 18:00 GMT on Friday when they were hit by a silver car.

They remain in serious condition at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre.

A woman, 20, was released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.

Nottinghamshire Police asked anyone with information to contact them.
