Nottingham baby boy died in "unexplained" circumstances

A five-month-old baby boy has died in "unexplained" circumstances, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Officers were called to a house in Clementine Drive, Carlton, at about 18:30 GMT on Monday.

The infant was taken to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Police said the death remains unexplained and are investigating with the coroner. A post-mortem examination will be carried out on Wednesday.
