Motorist who died in three-vehicle crash near Southwell is named

A motorist who died in a three-vehicle collision in Nottinghamshire has been named.

Neil Atkins was driving one of the cars involved in the crash on the A612 near Southwell on Sunday.

The 40-year-old, who lived in the Newark area, but was originally from Boston in Lincolnshire, died at the scene.

The driver of a horsebox involved suffered minor injuries, along with the driver of the second car.

The road, which is a main route between Nottingham and Southwell, remained closed for several hours after the collision near Brackenhurst College.
