Two arrested over Basford firearm find

Cordon on Roman Road Firearms officers were called to the house on Monday night

Two men have been arrested after a gun was found at a house in an area of Nottingham.

Police said firearms officers were called to a house on Roman Road in Basford at about 23:15 on Monday.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokeswoman said no shots were fired. Part of the area has been cordoned off.

The two men arrested at the scene remain in custody and are due to be questioned.
