The Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed there is no case to answer over allegations of racism and bullying at Notts County's youth team.

Police were called to investigate reports of an alleged incident in May following a third-party complaint.

The claims referred to racial and bullying comments alleged to have been made to players by two coaches at the club's youth side.

The pair resigned from the club before a disciplinary hearing took place.

Notts County said its own investigation into the matter had proved "inconclusive".

A spokesman said the club would continue to co-operate with any ongoing investigation into the issue by the Football Association and any other body.

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed its investigation had concluded and said social services and the FA were set to carry out their own inquiries.

A statement from the force added: "A number of witnesses have been spoken to and a file was presented to the Crown Prosecution Service, who has deemed there is no case to answer."
