Ex-teacher Robert Amoroso charged with child sex offences

A former PE teacher from Nottinghamshire has appeared in court charged with sexual offences against boys in Nottingham.

Robert Amoroso, 62, of Rivergreen, Clifton, appeared before magistrates in Nottingham earlier charged with eight offences.

The alleged incidents are said to have taken place against boys under 16 over the last two years.

He was remanded in custody to appear at crown court on 27 September.

Mr Amoroso was charged with five counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, two counts of sexual assaults on a male, and one count of engaging in sexual activity with a boy aged between 13 and 15.
