Hucknall woman's stabbing prompts murder inquiry

Police cordon Officers have appealed for anyone who had recent contact with the victim to get in touch

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the stabbing of a woman in Nottingham.

Denise Williamson, 44, was found at about 20:50 BST on Friday at her home in Hazelwood Drive, Hucknall.

She died in hospital shortly after and a post-mortem examination confirmed she had died of stab wounds.

The 52-year-old suspect remains in police custody. Detectives appealed for anyone who had contact with the victim in the past few weeks to come forward.
