Marcus Fisher with stitches after the attack Marcus Fisher was left permanently scarred by the attack

A man has been jailed for five years after leaving his victim permanently scarred in a glass attack at a Nottinghamshire pub.

Marcus Fisher, from Mansfield, suffered gashes to his cheek and neck and had to have parts of his ear glued back on.

Jamie Lee Burbank, 23, was found guilty of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm at Nottingham Crown Court.

Burbank, of Chaucer Street, Nottingham, had admitted unlawful wounding.

He attacked Mr Fisher, 21, with a broken glass in June 2012 following an England football match screened at a pub in Mansfield.

Mr Fisher and his family have started a campaign - No Glass No Smash - to try to get pubs and bars in Mansfield to use plastic cups and bottles after 21:00 BST.
