Boy, 12, injured in Nottingham police car crash

A 12-year-old boy is in hospital after a police car answering an emergency call was in collision with a car in Nottingham.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said the collision happened at about 14:00 BST on Broxtowe Lane, near the junction with Dulverton Vale.

A man driving a Peugeot 206 suffered minor injuries. The boy remains in hospital for observations.

Broxtowe Lane is expected to remain closed for several hours.

The male police driver was not injured.
