Nottingham project to help women in gangs

Growing concern about gang violence among women in Nottingham has led to a new project being launched.

Chayah Project is now working to identify women in the city who are involved in gangs and help them to find a safe way out.

Dawnika Ryan, from the project, said: "Quite a few go through domestic violence. They are bitter so they are retaliating and the only way they know to retaliate is to be brutal."
