Scott Kennedy attack death: Man in court

A 39-year-old man appeared in court for the manslaughter of a 76-year-old man who died after an attack at his home.

Scott Kennedy, of Hill View Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield appeared before Mansfied magistrates on Tuesday and was remanded into custody.

Colin Hall, 76, died in hospital after being attacked in Cornerpin Drive on the evening of 10 February.

Mr Kennedy is also charged with attempted robbery and a firearms offence, police said.

He has been remanded into custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 5 March.

Another 33-year-old man, who was arrested in connection with the death, has been bailed pending further enquiries.
