Detectives investigating the death of a Nottinghamshire man have been given an additional 36 hours to question a man arrested as part of a murder inquiry.
The 39-year-old man was arrested in Kirkby-in-Ashfield on Friday evening by police investigating the death.
Colin Hall, 76, died following an attack at his home in Cornerpin Drive on the evening of 10 February.
An application to allow further questioning was approved at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Sunday.
Mr Hall died in hospital following the attack at his home.
Two men arrested earlier in connection with the death have both been released without charge.
