A Grade II listed bridge in Nottinghamshire has been closed after it was damaged in a crash at the weekend.

Repairs are being carried out on Kelham Bridge near Newark after an accident early on Sunday morning.

The bridge was damaged after a car spun out of control and hit the bridge, Nottinghamshire Police said.

No one was injured in the crash but a police spokesman said an investigation into the accident was under way.
