The husband of a woman who has been missing for three years has appeared in court charged with her murder.

Jamie Starbuck, 36, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday.

Debbie Starbuck, 44, lived in Old Basford, Nottingham, and was last seen in April 2010. She was not reported missing until two years later.

Mr Starbuck, of no fixed address, was arrested by officers at Heathrow Airport last Saturday and charged on Wednesday.

On Thursday, police cordoned off woodland in Whinbush Lane, near Calverton, as part of the investigation.
