Germaine Edwards: Man in court over Bilborough shooting

A 32-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a Nottingham man found with bullet wounds.

Germaine Edwards, 28, of Bilborough, was found shot in the abdomen in Fairnley Road just after 17:00 GMT on 17 November. He died later in hospital.

Damien Simpson, who did not give an address when he appeared before magistrates in Nottingham, gave his name as Damien Fogo.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday.

Mr Simpson is also charged with robbery and a firearms offence.
