Bilborough shooting: Victim named as Germaine Edwards
Mr Edwards was found with bullet wounds
Police have named a man who was shot dead in Nottingham.
Germaine Edwards, 28, was found in Fairnley Road, Bilborough, at about 17:00 GMT on Saturday with serious injuries.
He was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre but later died. A post-mortem examination confirmed he died from bullet wounds.
Police are questioning a 32-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
An eyewitness in Bilborough, who did not wish to be named, said: "I managed to talk to [the victim] keep him awake and find the entry wound where he'd been shot. I stayed with him until the police arrived."
Detectives are appealing for information about a group of men seen in a silver Ford Fiesta and have asked anyone who may have seen the car driving through Bilborough, Wollaton, or Trowell to contact them.
A vehicle matching the car's description was found burnt out in the Cossall area.
