A body has been found near the entrance to Nottingham Racecourse.

Two tarpaulin sheets have been strung up at the scene, which is near a park and ride site off the A612, a main road leading into Nottingham city centre.

Nottinghamshire Police said the death was being treated as unexplained. Officers were called to the area at about 14:20 GMT on Wednesday.

Police said inquiries had been carried out at the scene to establish the circumstances.
