A Nottinghamshire primary school will be closed for two days after a fire broke out in its boiler room.

Crews were called to Crescent Primary in Mansfield at about 07:30 GMT on Sunday to deal with a fire in the school's biomass boiler room.

It took firefighters several hours to bring five tonnes of burning wood chippings under control.

The main school building has not been damaged but classes have been cancelled for two days as the clean-up begins.
