Nottinghamshire boy, 12, dies three days after crash in Hucknall

A 12-year-old boy has died in hospital three days after being knocked off his bicycle in Nottinghamshire.

Jeff Townley, from Hucknall, was hit by a van on Linby Road in Hucknall at 19:50 BST on Thursday, Nottinghamshire police said.

He was taken to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where he died from his injuries on Sunday.

Police said the driver of the van was not injured and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
