Kevin Kennedy named as dead man in Sneinton murder inquiry

Police have identified a body which was found on land in Sneinton, Nottingham.

The body of Kevin Kennedy, 50, of no fixed address, was found on land between Rossington Road and Burrows Court on 8 August.

Despite a Home Office post-mortem examination proving inconclusive, a murder inquiry is continuing.

Nottinghamshire Police said a 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm had been released without charge.

Three crime scenes remain in place - one at Rossington Road, one at the site where the body was found and at an address on Lord Nelson Street.

Anyone with information about Mr Kennedy's death is asked to contact police.
