Cropwell Bishop road closed after horses killed in crash

A road in Nottinghamshire has closed following a collision between a van and three horses.

Emergency services were called to Nottingham Road, between Cropwell Bishop and the A46, shortly after 04:00 BST.

Police said no-one was injured in the crash but a Radio Nottingham reporter said three horse bodies had been covered with sheets close to the scene.

The road is now being made safe before being re-opened.
