Fire at house in Nottingham leads to death of man

A man believed to be aged in his 60s has died following a house fire in Nottingham.

Police were called to a blaze at a house in Ryton Square, Aspley, at about 18:10 BST on Friday.

The man was found seriously injured inside and taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, where he was later pronounced dead.

No-one else was inside the building. Police do not believe the cause of the fire was suspicious.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue is working with Nottinghamshire Police to identify the cause of the fire.
