Nottingham man faces murder charge over stabbing death

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Nottingham.

Marcin Cwiakalo, of Osborne Street, Radford, is in police custody and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Mark Blades, 29, from Nottingham, was found at the rear of a restaurant in an alleyway off Parliament Street in the city centre on Wednesday.

A Home Office post-mortem examination revealed he died of stab wounds.

High-visibility patrols are being carried out in the city to reassure the community, a police spokesman said.

Detectives have asked anyone with information about the death to contact them.
