Nottinghamshire lead theft school to stay closed

Collapsed ceiling at Priestsic Primary School A carpet play area was damaged by water

A Nottinghamshire school forced to shut when thieves stripped lead from its roof is to stay closed for another day.

A large section of ceiling came down at Priestsic Primary School in Sutton-in-Ashfield at about 03:00 BST on Friday, causing flood damage.

About 500 children were told to stay at home as a safety precaution.

Head teacher Tracey Wilson said she hoped the school would re-open this week after repairs had been made and a survey of the building completed.
