Man hurt trying to stop row in Nottinghamshire
A man suffered serious injuries to his face as he tried to break up a row in a Nottinghamshire street.
Police said the 49-year-old had stepped into an argument between a man and a woman on Carlton Road in Worksop at 00:15 BST on Saturday.
He was then punched to the ground by another man not involved in the row and was knocked unconscious.
He is in a stable condition at Bassetlaw District General Hospital. Police have appealed for witnesses.
The attacker is described as white, of stocky build and aged between 20 and 30 years old.
