Man charged over Sneinton collision

A man has been charged in connection with a collision in Nottingham which left a man with serious injuries.

Police were called to Ipswich Circus in Sneinton at about 16:10 BST on Sunday to reports a 27-year-old man had been assaulted and run over.

Mohammed Rohail Rasheed, 18, of Ipswich Circus, Sneinton, has appeared before magistrates charged with wounding with intent and dangerous driving.

He will appear at Nottingham Crown Court via video-link on 20 June.

A second 18-year-old man arrested on 5 June has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Nottinghamshire Police said the injured man was still in hospital in a serious, but stable condition.
