BBC Radio Nottingham supports new look Robin Hood Marathon

Competitors at Robin Hood Marathon Competitors will not run through Wollaton Park in September

BBC Radio Nottingham will support the Robin Hood Half Marathon by providing full coverage of the event on 30 September.

Runners at this year's race will experience what organisers have said is a "flatter and faster" course.

The new route passes through the Boots campus, and University of Nottingham, but will no longer go through Wollaton Park.

The Fun Run will also start and finish at the Victoria Embankment.

A spokesperson from the radio station said: "BBC Radio Nottingham are proud to be part of this fantastic event, the largest participation event in the county."

On BBC Radio Nottingham, listeners will hear running tips, shoe advice, fitness tips and the reasons why people are taking part, in the run-up to the event.
