Man in court over stabbing of four-year-old boy

A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a four-year-old boy who was discovered in the street with stab wounds.

The child, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found seriously injured on Frederick Street, Mansfield, on 9 April.

Steven Frogg, who lives on the same street, was remanded in custody after appearing at Nottingham Crown Court.

The 51-year-old is next due in court on 30 July.
