Arrests after East Midlands car key burglary crackdown
An East Midlands investigation into burglaries where car keys were stolen has resulted in 19 arrests.
The arrests were made between 4 and 10 November, a spokesman for the East Midlands Special Operations Unit said.
Properties were searched in Nottingham, Leicester, Alfreton in Derbyshire and Coventry.
The operation is supported by Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and West Midlands police forces.
Five Nottingham men will appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court on 21 November to face burglary charges.
Two men from Leicester and two from Coventry will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on the same day charged with burglary and conspiracy to handle stolen motor vehicles.
Another six men were arrested for conspiracy to commit burglary and have been bailed until 14 December.
A 26-year-old Coventry woman was arrested for money laundering offences and has been bailed until the same date.
Three Leicester men were arrested for conspiracy to commit burglary and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
