Help

A potato grown by an amateur gardener in Nottinghamshire has been confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's heaviest.

The 11lb (4.99kg) spud was grown by Peter Glazebrook in his garden at Halam, near Newark in Nottinghamshire.

The previous record of 8lb 4oz (3.8kg) was also held by Mr Glazebrook, who has been growing giant vegetables for more than a decade.
