Batman film truck crashes into Wollaton Park wall

Help

A truck carrying equipment to film the latest Batman movie at Wollaton Hall in Nottingham has hit one of its gateposts.

Local man Alex Hartshorne captured the footage as he walked past the grounds of the Elizabethan mansion on Sunday.

A City Council spokesman said: "We have put measures in place to make the area safe and damage to the wall is being fully assessed today.

"We will work to restore the wall to its original state as quickly as possible but as it is part of a heritage site, it is likely to take a little while.

"We are in discussions with the film company and the trucking company."

Scenes from The Dark Knight Rises are being shot Wollaton Hall until July.
