A Nottingham bar has been closed temporarily by the council after three men were stabbed in a fight.

The incident happened in the early hours of bank holiday Monday.

The B Bar on Heathcote Street will be shut for up to 28 days after the city's Licensing Panel deemed the suspension "necessary" and "proportionate".

One man is still in hospital. A 28-year-old man arrested for violent disorder and has been bailed by police.

All the injured men, aged 19, 22, and 28 were taken to the Queen's Medical Centre for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Police asked the city council to review B Bar's premises and a full review will take place over the next 28 days to determine whether or not further steps are required.

Detectives are still appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information.
