Woman robbed at gunpoint in Nottingham road

A woman has been robbed at gunpoint on a Nottingham street in what police believe was a targeted attack.

The 49-year-old victim was threatened by two men just after noon on Wednesday in Moor Street, Netherfield.

They stole her handbag, which contained a significant amount of money, and then made off in a red car.

A 24-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the robbery. Both are currently in custody.

Officers said they believed the woman, who was uninjured but left shaken by the incident, had been specifically targeted.

They have appealed for witnesses.
