Nottingham man denies murdering two men

A 41-year-old Nottingham man has pleaded not guilty to the murders of two men in the first two weeks of 2010.

Darran Lancashire, 43, was found dead in Main Street, Kimberley, on 6 January and Brian Flaherty, 31, was found dead in Lenton on 12 January .

Peter Brown, 41, of Main Street, Kimberley, denied the two murder charges at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 29 July.

Mr Brown was remanded into custody and will next appear again on 17 November.

Home Office post-mortem examinations confirmed both men had been stabbed.

Mr Brown also denied five robberies, one attempted robbery, two assaults with intent to commit robbery, and one assault occasioning actual bodily harm, all related to incidents which occurred in the Kimberley, Arnold, and Netherfield areas of Nottinghamshire on 31 December and 1 January.
