Firefighters are still tackling a blaze at a country house estate in Northamptonshire.

The fire broke out at the Castle Ashby estate office, close to the stately home, just after 14:00 BST and required eight crews to bring it under control.

The private home, which has parts dating back to the 1500s, was unaffected.

A number of crews remain at the scene. The cause of the blaze is not known.

Eyewitness Reece Coles said the fire was "pretty scary" with smoke and flames billowing from the building.
