Jamie McMahon case: Mark Lewis admits murder and robbery

Jamie McMahon was found dead in a churchyard

A teenager has admitted the robbery and murder of a 26-year-old found dead in a graveyard after a night out.

Snooker club worker Jamie McMahon suffered head injuries in an attack in the grounds of St Giles Church in the centre of Northampton in October.

A jury at Northampton Crown Court was told Mark Lewis, 19, of Clickers Drive, Northampton, had admitted the charges.

Michael Francis, 33, of St James Road in the town, is standing trial on the same charges, which he denies.
