Dedicated hospital stroke unit opens in Kettering

A dedicated stroke unit to help the rehabilitation of patients has opened at Kettering General Hospital in Northamptonshire.

The facility means specialist staff and equipment will be together on one ward.

Every year more than 1,000 people have a stroke in Northamptonshire and that number has been growing.

The Cranford Stroke Unit was officially opened with a cake and a ribbon cutting ceremony.
