Arrest following Wellingborough ex-hotel fire death

A man was injured in the fire and later died in hospital

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following a fire at a disused hotel in Northamptonshire.

Police said a 48-year-old man was found injured in the building on Midland Road, Wellingborough, on Tuesday night.

He was taken to Kettering General Hospital, but later died.

A 36-year-old man, of no fixed address, is currently being held in custody. Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
