Two men have denied the murder of a snooker club worker whose body was found in a Northampton churchyard.

Jamie McMahon, 26, of Far Cotton, was found near St Giles' Church on 2 October, after he had been on a night out. He had suffered head injuries.

Mark Lewis, 19, of Clickers Drive, Upton, and Michael Francis, 33, of St James Road, Northampton, appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Thursday.

Both denied murder and were remanded in custody to go on trial on 9 June.

Mr Lewis pleaded guilty to a charge of robbery.
