A man who died outside a pub in Northamptonshire was struck by his own car, police have said.

Scott McKimmie, 39, of Lavender Close, Corby, was found in The Phoenix pub's car park on Beanfield Avenue in the town during the early hours of Tuesday.

Police are treating the death as unexplained and have appealed for anyone who saw Mr McKimmie's burgundy VW Golf Cabriolet to contact them.

They also wish to track his movements from Monday night to Tuesday morning.

The cause of death has not yet been revealed.
