Artist's impression of new leisure complex The planned leisure complex for Corby town centre will be built on the site of the former Crown House

A £10m leisure complex has been proposed by the property company that owns much of Corby town centre.

Helical Bar's plans include an eight-screen Vue cinema, four restaurants, a 500-space car park and a gym.

If approved, it will be built on the site of the former Crown House in Elizabeth Street, the multi-storey car park and part of Market Walk.

Corby Borough Council is due to consider the application early next year.

Planning permission has already been granted for a cinema on George Street, near the Corby Cube, which would be operated by the Odeon cinema chain, but construction work is yet to start.
