A two-year-old girl is in a critical condition after being found in a lake at a holiday park in Northamptonshire.

The girl, who has not been named, was taken to hospital after she was discovered in water at Billing Aquadrome on Sunday afternoon.

Police said she had been missing at the park for a short time and it appeared she had entered the lake by accident.

She is currently in a critical condition at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.

Police said Billing Aquadrome staff administered CPR at the scene before paramedics attended.

The holiday park was unavailable for comment.
