Northampton
A crash involving a number of cars has forced the closure of the M1 southbound in Northamptonshire.
Police said all three lanes were blocked after the crash between junctions 17 and 16, and it has been shut to junction 18 at Crick.
Motorists are being advised by Northamptonshire Police to take alternative routes where possible.
The force added that the road, west of Northampton, could be shut for a number of hours.
