Five flood warnings in Northamptonshire remain in place

Five flood warnings remain in place in Northamptonshire after heavy rain over the last few days increased river levels.

The Environment Agency has issued warnings for properties around the River Nene, between Wellingborough and Thrapston.

Warnings are also in place for villages including Nether Heyford, Bugbrooke, Upton Mill, Horton and Hackleton.

Billing Aquadrome and Cogenhoe Mill caravan site are also affected.

The Environment Agency said there would be high river levels for the next few days.

Heavy rain is expected to continue for most of Saturday.

The agency is asking people to check its website for updates.
