MP Chris Heaton-Harris guilty of silly bragging, says May

Home Secretary Theresa May said Daventry MP Chris Heaton-Harris, who was secretly recorded by Greenpeace, was guilty of silly bragging.

Mr Heaton-Harris, who is the Conservative campaign manager in the Corby by-election, has apologised for appearing to encourage another candidate to stand against the candidate he was working for.

He was secretly filmed by campaigners from Greenpeace boasting that an anti-wind farm campaigner had been persuaded by him to stand in the by-election.
