Gang posed as Border Agency staff to rob Kettering home

Three men posed as UK Border Agency officials to steal cash and jewellery from a Northamptonshire home.

The men targeted the house at Cleveland Avenue in Kettering around 17:15 BST on Monday and shouted that they were from the Border Agency.

The 18-year-old man who answered to the door was punched to the floor, and the offenders made off with a large quantity of Asian Jewellery and cash.

Two of the offenders have been described as white and aged 20 to 30.

One was 5ft 10ins (1.77m) and of stocky build with brown hair. The second was slim and about 5ft 5ins (1.65m).

The second man was wearing black jogging bottoms with a white stripe down the side, a black top and a black baseball cap with London 2012 on the front.

There was no description of the third offender.
